Kitchen Cleaning Tutorial

The kitchen should be the cleanest room in your household as it is the area in which you store and prepare your meals. If you are a rookie homeowner here is a kitchen cleaning tutorial which you can follow in order to maintain the room in a clean and tidy condition.

Step 1: Gather all your cleaning instruments and supplies. Make sure that you use eco-friendly cleaning solutions. Avoid using chemical or toxic based products as they tend to leave harmful particles behind which will automatically contaminate the indoor air and therefore soil the room.

Step 2: Prepare your kitchen for the cleaning routine by removing all misplaced objects that are located in the area. You should also move all the foods that you keep in open.

Kitchen CleaningStep 3: Commence the sanitation routine by cleaning the oven. Disassemble the interior component of the appliances and soak them into your sink which you have filled with soaped water.  The move the oven from its place and clean the area behind and underneath it. Return the appliance in place and wipe clean its exterior. When done, take the racks, dry them thoroughly and mount them at their place.

Step 4: Empty the fridge and clean its interior. Once again remove the racks and place them in soaped water. Move the refrigerator and clean its underneath and back. Then wipe clean its exterior and put back in place its racks. End the fridge cleaning by moving it in its place and returning the food in it.

Step 5: Take down all wall decoration and clean them. Use a duster to collect the dust from the walls. Wash the kitchen windows from the inside and outside, and launder the curtain.

Step 6: Empty the content of your kitchen cabinetry and use a duster and clean cloth to wipe clean the interior of your cabinets. Don’t forget to collect the dust from the backside of the cabinet doors. Then return everything in place and clean the exterior of the cabinetry. If your cabinets are varnished, you can use lemon oil to polish them impeccably. Now move towards the countertops and wipe them clean with a homemade remedy (grab a bowl and fill it half of it with water and the another half with baking soda). Allow the surfaces to dry before you continue with the cleaning routine.

Step 7: Clean the sink with a mixture that is made of ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of vinegar. Pour the cleaning solution into the drain and allow it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Then flush for several minutes by running cold water and voila you will have a crystal clean kitchen.

If all this seems too laborious and time consuming for you, you can hire a professional cleaning company to clean your kitchen for you. Don’t worry about the price of professional sanitation services as nowadays most cleaning contractors work with fair and reasonable prices.

Bonus pointer: You can peel several oranges and lemons and leave the peels to aromatise your kitchen.
