Holidays are a special part of our lives, they make us generous, kind and unite families and friends. Different nations have their own celebrations during the year, but there is one, probably one of the most observed holidays – Christmas. Nowadays it is more than a religious event, it’s an occasion, a magical time with amazing atmosphere and spirit, which gathers people together.
Today we relate holidays with presents, gorgeous ornaments and great trees. Usually the preparations for this event begin a month earlier. You will see your city decorated, buildings and malls piled with lights and Christmas songs will sound everywhere you go. You are allowed to hate these songs, because they are the same every year, but honestly, you know that they bring the spirit in your heart and home. This holiday suggests gathering of the family on Christmas Eve and some parties with friends or colleagues before and after it. After all the stir, you should rest but sometimes it is not possible, because there is a mess in your house/office. When you are at home, perhaps you don’t want to deal with whatever was left after the celebration. There is solution, because some cleaning companies work when we don’t and they will clean sofas, ovens or whatever you need. It doesn’t mean that you are lazy, but that you are someone who appreciates their time with the family.
During this time of the year, you become someone else, you want to make happy the people you love, and you are ready to buy a lot of gifts. Usually kids are those who expect the most, not only the event, but the presents. They were promised to receive gifts if they are good. Also most of the people spend too much on food which remains untouched, because of the enormous diversity on the table. Try to buy just enough or give the rest to someone in need. It is sad that this generosity is reborn only when the occasion knocks on your door rather than to be there through the whole year. We are more likely to make donations on Christmas, although there are people who need help all the time.
However, while we prepare everything for the celebration, there are not only people, but companies coining money due to our buying. For this purpose the black Friday was created, people buy more than they need. It is not just before Christmas but it is the right time to think for all the presents you should buy, so some stores earn a lot. Later all shopping centers announce great discounts and sales, which are not always real. But there is nothing we can do, because that’s how consumer society works. Maybe we should try more often to make presents on our own, because this will show your attitude to the receiver. Also homemade decorations of paper are a simple way to avoid buying from stores. Whatever you choose, make sure you are with the people you love.
